LG has announced a new mid-range smartphone today named, Band Play. The device is unveiled in South Korea which is the company’s home country. Later this week it will go on sale there for around $356 and is available in a black and white color variant.
This new smartphone is powered by a Snapdragon 410 chipset with a quad-core 1.2GHz processor, a 5 inch display with a resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels, 2 GB RAM, Adreno 306 GPU and 16GB expandable internal memory. For the power it is packed with a 2300 mAh removable battery.
The Band Play has a 13MP rear unit with dual-LED flash and a 5MP front shooter. It features also a set of 1W speakers and comes with a premium QuadBeat 3 headset which were previously announced as official accessories for the flagship LG G4. In terms of software, the handset runs Android 5.1 Lollipop and has a new feature called focus mode that lets you concentrate on your work or study by cutting off data and Wi-Fi connections as well as automatically rejecting incoming phone calls.
